After editing an opportunity I should be able to directly navigate to the applications

Actually, we have to leave an opportunity, jump back to chapter opportunities, to be able to navigate to the applications. That is really time-consuming. I should be able to have the opportunity as central navigation point, and after maintaining the application end date, I want to jump directly to the applications.
